Chris Whitehorn, or Jester as he is known, has the honour of appearing first in this series. Having grown up in the New Forest, he was surrounded by angling at a very young age and took to it from the off. Like many, big carp took a hold of him in his teens, and he hasn’t looked back ever since. Bursting with character and always looking at the bright side of life, it’s hard not to watch Jester go about his business with a smile on your face. He is infectiously enthusiastic about carp fishing, and it just pours out of him, with an album to back up his relentless passion for the sport too.
Known locally for his incredible range fishing, Jester discusses in depth how he went from a distance casting newbie to being able to fish accurately at over 200 yards. Combine this with being ‘perpetually buzzed’ as he likes to call it, you can see why Jester has caught some of the largest fish in the UK, even as a weekend angler with a full-time job and family.
